Cloud Pine Tee
I have a slight obsession with picturesque tees and this one checks all the boxes. Delicate lace, simple shaping and elegant finishing details make this an extremely satisfying project. The work is begun at the shoulders and worked down from there seamlessly, making it easy to try on as you go so the length is however you prefer. Add sleeves and play with the length or leave it sleeveless! This design is easy to customize to your personal preferences. It is lightweight enough to be worn during the hot months.
Sizes: Extra Small (Small, Medium, Large) (X Large, 2X Large, 3X Large) (4X Large, 5X Large, 6X Large) to fit a bust measurement up to 30” (34”, 38”, 42”) (46”, 50”, 54”) (58”, 62”, 66”)/76 (86, 96.5, 106.5) (117, 127, 137) (147, 158, 167.5) cm.
This design features approximately 3”/7.5 cm positive ease and a cropped length.
Yarn: 800 (900, 1000, 1125) (1275, 1450, 1650) (1875, 2125, 2400) yards/725 (825, 925, 1025) (1175, 1325, 1500) (1725, 1950, 2200) meters of sock weight yarn.
If you’re shy on yarn, the best place to squeeze out some extra yards is the sleeves. They use about 40% of the yardage. Short sleeves or sleeveless is the way to go to skimp on the yards needed.
Sample shown in Hanks & Hookers Summer Breeze colorway “Mint Hold the Chip”.
Hook: Size US D/3.25 mm, or size needed to obtain gauge with a loose resulting fabric.
Gauge: 23 stitches and 9 rows in Scallop Arch pattern = 4”/10 cm square (blocked).
Notions: 5 locking stitch markers, blocking wires (optional, but very helpful), blocking mat, t-pins, tape measure, tapestry needle, and scissors.
Techniques: Crocheting in the round using US terminology and chart reading (optional).
