Drawing inspiration from the clouds themselves, this graciously sized stole is worked in delightfully soft Cloud from Anzula.

The cloud formation known as a cloud street is when cumulus clouds form lines parallel to the direction of the wind. When these clouds hit the top of a mountain a secondary formation called a von Korman vortex can form. By susing stacked columns of double yarn overs and cinched stitches I have tried to evoke these two different phenomenon.

Instructions are in chart form only and it is easy to either expand or reduce the size by working more (or fewer) repeats.

Finished Size 110” wide and 18” deep.
Yarn Anzula Cloud (80% merino, 10% cashmere, 10% nylon; 575 yd 526 m/4 oz 114 g): olivia; 2 skeins.
Needle Size 4 (3.5 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Tapestry needle.
Gauge 22 sts and 30 rows = 4” in St st, blocked agressively.

• This stole is worked from end to end with bias shaping.

• Slip the last stitch of each row with yarn held in front of work.
