Enjoy this simple organic style poncho.
Before I got to the point to use only stockinette stitch for this design, I tried many different pretty lace stitches to make this poncho. I ended up using just stockinette stitch because I noticed that this basic stitch worked with DK cotton yarn is so beautiful. It is very airy and breathable. To make this fabric a little more unique, I added yarn overs between each stitch on right side rows, then dropped the yarn over stitches on the wrong side rows.
You can wear this poncho showing the right side (stockinette stitch) or the wrong side (reverse stockinette stitch) of the fabric. The right side has a sleek look while the wrong side has more texture.
You can vary your look depending on how you feel with this one simple garment!
