Clueless hat
The smallest addition to the Clueless family - Clueless hat! A classic hat knitted in rib is something that often ends up on my needles, perfect for scrap yarn and can add some colour to any outfit. But this classic comes with a small twist! A subtle lace pattern on the folded brim makes the second colour peep through and because of that this hat is perfect for contrasting colours.
Clueless hat is a two coloured classic rib knitted hat with a simple lace pattern on the brim. A quick knit that comes in three sizes.
YARN: De Rerum Natura Ulysse (approx. 185 m≈ 202 yd = 50 g).
ALTERNATIVE YARN: BC Semilla Melange, Cheeky Merino Joy
YARDAGE: Colour 1 (C1): ca 11-15-20 g ≈ 41-56-73 m ≈ 44-61-79 yd.
Colour 2 (C2): ca 40-45-60 g ≈ 145-170-220 m ≈ 160-182-242 yd.
I recommend to have a larger contrast between the colours so the colour of the hat (C2) will be visible through the lace pattern of the brim.
GAUGE: approx. 24 stitches x 34 rounds = 10x10 cm ≈ 4x4 in. in 2x2 rib on needle 3 mm (US 2,5) Hard to measure in 2x2 rib but I measured after blocking and slightly flattening my tension square.
NEEDLES: 3 mm circular needle, 40 cm long (US 2,5, 16 in. long) + 3 mm DPN (US 2,5), or long circular needle for Magic Loop.
SIZES: A-B-C, head circumference approx. 50-55-60 cm/20-21,5-23,5 in.
