Clueless slipover
This is the sibling to Clueless pullover - Clueless slipover! Although Clueless slipover has the same basic shape as its larger sibling it still has its own style and character.
Clueless slipover is a waist length slipover with intended ease of 6-12 cm/2-5”. Knitted top down in the round in 2x2 rib and with an optional subtle lace pattern at the lower half. The back is shaped in the bottom with short rows to make it longer than the front.
YARN De Rerum Natura Ulysse (ca 185 m/50 g ≈ 202 yd/50 g).
ALTERNATIVE YARN BC Semilla Melange, Cheeky Merino Joy, Esther by Permin, BC Bio Balance.
With Ulysse (or similar) you get a cozy, squishy slipover. With a smoother merino yarn (like Cheeky Merino Joy) you get a slightly more fitted slipover with some drape.
YARDAGE approx. 170-190-210-(230-250-280)-300-330-360 g ≈ 630-705-780-(850-925-1035)-1110-1220-1330 m ≈ 689-771-853-(930-1012-1132)-1212-1333-1455 yd.
If you want a contrasting colour for the bottom ribbing and i-cord in the armholes you will need approx. 18-20-22-(26-29-31)-33-38-40 g ≈ 66-74-81-(96-104-112)-119-137-146 m ≈ 71-82-87-(104-115-126)-131-148-159 yd of the total yardage to be in the contrasting colour.
GAUGE 22 m x 30 v = 10x10 cm ≈ 4 x 4 in. in 2x2 rib with needle 3,5 mm/US 4. Hard to measure in 2x2 rib but I measured after washing and slightly flattening my tension square.
NEEDLES 3,5 mm + 3 mm circular needles, 40-100 cm (US size 4 + 2,5 16-40 in. long)
Two 3 mm DPN (US 2,5) or short 3 mm circular needle (US 2,5) for i-cord.
OTHER MATERIAL 4 markers, scrap yarn, darning needle, scissors, measuring tape.
