Clusters & Crosses Shawl
This pretty triangular shawl is written with detail and texture and built from the top centre outwards with a fairly simple repeating pattern that works up quite quickly. The pattern is suitable for confident beginners through to experienced crocheters.

MATERIALS REQUIRED:
Up to 1200m 4ply yarn (weight2) use 4mm hook
Up to 1100m DK yarn (weight3) use 5mm hook
Up to 1000m Aran yarn (weight4) use 6mm hook
Less meterage will be required to complete child size shawl
STITCHES & PATTERN INFO:
This pattern is written using US terms
MR = Magic ring
Ch = Chain
Dc = double crochet
Tc = Treble crochet
Fpdc = Front post double crochet (tutorial can be found at https://amethystorm.co.uk/front-back-post-stitches/)
Clu = 3dc cluster (tutorial can be found at https://amethystorm.co.uk/cluster-stitch/)
Chsp = Chain space
St = Stitch
Slst = slip stitch
XDc = X Dc’s in the next stitch
DcX = Dc in next X stitches
skx = skip x stitches
()x = repeat instruction in bracket x times
** in __ = stitches inside ** are worked in the same St/Chsp as noted after the *
{} = additional information for creating the next stitch
= stitch count
In all above instructions x counts as any number eg 2dc, dc10, sk5
Ch3 at the start of each row counts as a Dc, Ch4 counts as Dc, Ch1
Turn at the end of each row
Gauge is unimportant as the pattern repeats until you reach desired size
