Clutch gets his name not from his eight grasping tentacles, but rather from his love of bags and purses. Since he has no legs, only arms, he has no pockets to put his treasures in. But then one day he found an empty hermit crab shell filled with pretty colored pebbles. The shell was not his, so he left it alone, but it gave him the idea to use containers to hold his most prized possessions. Then he began to use them to hold things he just liked. Then things he kind of liked a little bit. Pretty soon, he had run out of even things he did not much for, and started giving purses and bags to his closest friends. In certain parts of the ocean, it is rare to see sea creatures WITHOUT one of Clutch’s bags.

You can make your own Clutch using either worsted weight yarn or (if you are feeling daring) the Landscapes yarn colorway that created my Clutch. Enjoy!
