Cnut the Great, or Canute, was an eleventh century king of the North Sea Empire who’s probably most well known for Henry of Huntingdon’s apocryphal story of him using the uncontrollable sea tide to illustrate “how empty and worthless is the power of kings”.

This miniature crown won’t give anybody any big ideas! It’s knit with yarn and wire held together, and it’s difficult to completely weave away the sharp ends so it’s not really suitable for children unless you omit the wire. Using a heavier yarn without the wire or holding a strand of wool or something with the silver yarn instead should give the crown enough rigidity to stand up without it.
