In Oregon, people don’t just head for the beach, they go to “The Coast.” A day at “The Coast” can include anything from exploring the tidepools, to surfing the dunes, to picnicking in a coastal forest. This bag is just right for a day outdoors by the sea, whether it holds your s’mores ingredients or a paperback book, and–thanks to crochet--your belongings stay in while the sand falls right through!

Pattern Notes: This bag is crocheted in the round. The setup round, working up one side of a chain and back down it again, makes a long, thin oval base. The rest of the bag is worked around that oval, without ever having to turn your work.
