Coastal Cottage Blanket
This colorful granny square blanket is created with granny squares. It works up quickly and easily, and uses join as you go method as well as back loop only method. The written pattern includes sizing for both larger and smaller sized blanket. As is, blanket measures just over 5 ft x 5 ft and is lightweight because of the cotton yarn recommended. I use a total of 4 colors, however you can easily customize the colors you choose.
There is a YouTube tutorial I include on how I made granny squares, as well as detailed written instructions, schematics diagram, and pictures. I am active on social media and email for questions.
The yarn I chose to use is Dishie Cotton from WeCrochet/KnitPicks. I find it holds up well to the stretch of blankets, isn’t to heavy or hot, and has vibrant colors which are great for granny squares. I would say you can also use another lightweight aran/worsted yarn if you have it.
I hope you enjoy this blanket pattern! As well as, I have another pattern for a Speed Hook Blanket if you are looking for other crochet blanket options.
