A crochet heart coaster with a delicate picot border! Find out how to make it by reading this tutorial with video in Italian language, but with English subtitle!

This project is ideal for the Valentine’s Day period to decorate the table, recreating heart-shaped coasters to be made in various colors.

Used yarn and accessories
I chose a cotton yarn, suitable for making table accessories, both for washing and for the softness and flexibility that is obtained in the final result.

With a single ball yarn I managed to make 3 coasters 20 cm wide and 15 cm long.

Useful information before starting
To create the flat crochet heart and use it as a coaster, I made an oval base, on which I worked in the round.

To develop the heart shape on the oval, you will work side increases and decreases at the top center and the fan stitch at the base, to form the point.

The basic point that will be used will be the double crochet.

Questo progetto è ideale da realizzare nel periodo di San Valentino da usare per decorare la tavola per il vostro amato ed in vari colori.

Filati e accessori utilizzati
Ho scelto il filato in cotone, ideale per fare accessori da tavola, lavabile in lavatrice e morbido al tatto.

Con un gomitolo sono riuscita a fare 3 sottobicchieri da 20 cm di larghezza e 15 cm di lunghezza.

Informazioni utili prima di cominciare
Per fare il cuore piatto e usarlo poi come sottobicchiere, ho ricreato una base ovale lavorata poi in tondo su di essa.

Per far crescere la forma, devi lavorare gli aumenti e le diminuzioni ai lati dell’ovale e nella parte centrale inferiore dovrai svolgere dei punti ventaglio per formare la punta del cuore.

Il punto base utilizzato è la maglia alta.
