The Cobbled Roads Stitch employs post stitches, the berry stitch, and a special straddle stitch to create a subtle but engaging texture offset by strong vertical lines. It was designed for the 2023 Serenity Throw Blanket CAL, but this pattern would be wonderful for baby blankets, scarves, bags, or even sweaters! I can’t wait to see what you do with it.

Level: Intermediate. This pattern uses post stitches, the berry stitch, and a special “straddle stitch”. The latter two have photo tutorials included as a separate download (available upon purchasing the PDF pattern).

Yarn: You can use any yarn you’d like for this pattern, along with an appropriate hook. In my sample, I used Red Heart With Love in Oxford, with an H/5 mm hook. The textured pattern would probably show up best with a relatively smooth yarn, either a monochrome or one with slow color changes.
