Here is a quick project, just in time for holiday knitting. Winter is coming, and as my Dad used to say “90 percent of your body heat goes off the top of your head”! Well, Dad would be proud to know that I am finally a wearer of hats:-).
I am suggesting that you stick to a high-twist yarn for this project. I do so love a roving, or a lightly twisted single ply yarn, but the stitches are very tightly cinched to form the top of the hat, and I fear that with a single ply, or lightly spun yarn, you will pull your stitches closed, and break your yarn…and you don’t want to do that after all your hard work.
This looks great without a pom pom, but a nice faux fur pom pom just brings it up one level.
Perfect for anyone on your holiday gift list, you can easily whip this up in one night!!
Enjoy!
