This is a three-color Nordic-style dropped-shoulder cardigan with steeked front and armholes, and optional pockets. Colorwork techniques include stranded and Ladder back jacquard (LBJ). Steeks are secured by felting. Outside references are included for LBJ and felted steeks.

Pattern includes a colorwork band featuring images of the Samoyed dog, with the main body featuring a motif representing the work “Samoyed”. Dogs are knitted using combined Maine Line and Silk Mohair Lux in the LBJ technique. The combination of yarns is intended to make the dogs pop, but the silk mohair is optional. The motif section is stranded knitting.

Sizes available for youth/teens (12, 14, 16) and adults (XS-6X). Approximately 5 inches of ease is figured into the sizing.

Materials needed are 1062 yards of Frangipani for MC, 191-382 yards of Rauma Finull for CC1 and 191-382 yards each of Maine Line CC2 (White) and Lana Gatto Silk Mohair Lux in same/similar color as CC2 (6027 Ivory).

Note: Rauma Finull may be substituted for the Maine Line and Frangipani MC yarns.

All proceeds from sales of this pattern will be donated to Y-Not Save a Sam Samoyed rescue.
