I’ve called this blanket the “Coconut Ice Chevron Blanket” because the striped pink and cream remind me of the old fashioned sweet treat – perfect for sweet dreams!

Here are some quick facts about this beauty:

  • It’s a gigantic 2.5m by 2.5m square.
  • It contains over 4.5kg of wool.
  • It feels lovely to snuggle under.
  • The crochet stitch used is double crochet in the back loop which creates a ribbed texture.
  • The stitches are increased and decreased to form the zig zags.
  • There are 6 striped chevrons (3 cream and 3 pink).

difficulty:
You need to know how to change colours and work a chain, double crochet (single crochet) and how to dc2tog (sc2tog), dc3tog (sc3tog) and dc5tog (sc5tog). A lot of patience and the desire to finish the blanket helps as well!
