Coconut Socks
This sock pattern is perfect for beginners (it’s my go to pattern!). This pattern is simple and perfect for everyday socks. It gets its name from the tough reinforced heel meaning that the socks are perfect for frequent wear (especially if you use yarn with nylon content).
This pattern is easy to adapt to fit different feet and easy to make the leg longer or shorter depending on your preference.
Because they do not feature an intricate design, this pattern is perfect for showing off almost any yarn!
I prefer to knit socks using DPNs and the pattern is written with these in mind. I have included instructions on how to change the pattern to allow you to use a circular needle as I know that many people prefer this method.
What You Will Need –
- 100g 4ply sock yarn (The amount you will need depends on your foot size and how long you make the leg)
- 4 x 2.5mm DPNs (US size 1 ½ ) or 2.5mm circular needle in preferred length (I would suggest 80cm or above)
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
- Stitch Marker
