This is designed to be an outer garment to be used over whatever clothing the baby might be wearing.

This is also an alternative to a blanket which baby tends to kick off.

Ideal to use when going shopping or for a walk with baby.

This is the circular version and Flat version has been added.

It will also work using 4.5 mm needle. And if baby is tall, it can easily be made longer.

Gauge is not an issue. I have used double knit wool (8 ply) the light and medium version of it.
