I named this hat COFANO, which is Italian and its definition means: Bonnet Style. This design was a vision I had in my head and then it became a reality with lots of tweaking and perfecting this hat. It’s not your usual type of Beanie Hat as some people like different styles. This pattern uses basic stitches and the Front and Back post stitches. I would not recommend this for beginners but probably early intermediate if you can master the post stitches well. It is worked from the top down. I have included in this pattern the different ways you can finish the brim in the front with the little ties or with the crab stitch trim. PS: I also suggest to put a stitch marker on the 1st st at the beginning of every row, that way you know when that row is done and it’s also where you have to sls, before you start the next row.
