This is an knit afghan square that I created for the Playa Vista Yarn Crafters to create an afghan for The Coffee Connection, our meeting place, that will be raffled off to patrons.
I had previously created the Chocolate square - plain stockinette with seed stitch border, same yarn brand - based on the gauge printed on the yarn label and had no problems. When I created this Toast square the first time, it measured 12.5 x 13.5. This time I had to decrease my needle size to 6 and still, it measures 12 x 13.
There must be a difference between the two colors. I originally thought maybe the first one was so big because I knitted it on straights, but using my circulars gave me the same results.
