Coffee with friends, was designed to be the perfect hat to transition into fall. It’s named for my friend Kate, who saw the hat on my couch and decided she needed to make one for herself and made me type up this formal pattern over a cup of coffee.

Supplies:
One Full 231yard/100 gram skein of Silent Knits DKYarns Shown in Natural.
One US size 6 needle circular needle. Or size needed to obtain gauge.
1 stitch markers
Yarn needle to weave in ends

Gauge after blocking is repeat in body of the hat is equal to 1 and a quarter inches by half inch.

Abbreviations:
k: Knit
p: Purl
C1F: cable one forward
C1B: cable one back
SM1: Slip starting marking one stitch to the right No stitch
P2tog: purl 2 together

Coffee with Friends is offered in two sizes under 21” and over 21”

Clarification to those who need it:
C1B: slip st to cable needle & hold in back of work, k off left needle, k st off cable needle.

C1F: slip st to cable needle & hold in front of work, k st off left needle, k off cable needle
