This fun beanie using the bean stitch is a semi-made to measure pattern.

This pattern is written in ENGLISH using US terminology and has been tested by others. It includes detailed instructions for the bean stitch with photos to help with stitch placement.

SKILL LEVEL: Advanced Beginner/Intermediate
Skills needed: working in the round, measuring stitches to gauge circumference, single crochet, half double crochet, bean stitch, working into the 3rd loop, increases, decreases

MATERIALS:

• Yarn: Approximately 85-225 yards of #4/worsted yarn
• Hook: J/6.0mm hook

INCLUDED SIZES:

• Small Child (fits heads 17-19 inches in circumference)
• Large Child (fits heads 19-20 inches in circumference)
• Small Adult (fits heads 20-22 inches in circumference)
• Large Adult (fits heads 22-24 inches in circumference)

It’s written with instructions for a fitted, slightly slouchy, and messy bun style beanie in all sizes. Instructions are also given to make modifications to both the circumference and overall length of the beanie if you would like a different fit.
