This is a pattern for knitted long cabled fingerless mitts. The focal stitch of the mitts is the coin cable that is featured on both the upper and underside of the mitts. It is complimented by both ribbing stitches, and ringlet stitches. (All stitches are explained within the pattern.) The thumb gusset insures a perfect fit. It’s quite easy to make these shorter if you prefer. This pattern is truly a one size fits all pattern. The stitches expand laterally, so the length will vary based upon your size, i.e., if you are fairly petite, the gloves will come further up your arm than if you are larger.

They are made using two circular needles, and the cable stitch is both charted and written out line by line.

Skill Level: Intermediate - Intermediate + (assuming a basic knowledge of knitting, purling, cabling, and increasing and decreasing).

The sample was expertly test knitted by Phyliss Lederman who can be contacted at: phylisgl@ verizon.net, and is known on Ravelry as “phyllisgl”. They were knitted using Fiesta’s Baby Boom yarn in colorway, Salmon Run.
