The Cold Air Cowl is a knitted cowl with a reversible geometric diamond pattern. It is knit in the round on circular needles using only knit and purl stitches and has an optional button closure so that the cowl can be worn buttoned close to the neck for warmth. The buttoned version can be worn both buttoned and unbuttoned. Looks great in both variegated and solid yarn. It is a quick and easy knit.

The sample is knit using a little less than one skein of hand dyed Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Worsted weight yarn. It should be possible to knit it with just about any 100g skein of worsted weight yarn although gauge may vary slightly. This pattern would look especially pretty in a solid or tonal yarn which would really let the textured stitches show clearly.
