What to do with that skein of soft super bulky you could not resist? Want to make room in your stash? Need a quick gift? Is your neck cold NOW? Here is your answer!

This easy, textured cowl pattern will show off variegated, speckled, heathered, or gradient yarns as well as add depth to solids and tonals. It is very easily customized. It also makes a quick gift. (Seriously, you can knock one of these out while watching a movie.)

Size: 16 inch circumference and 12 inch depth as written, customization described for other sizes

Supplies:
o 1 skein of super bulky yarn
o Size US 13 circular needles in 16”
o Tapestry needle to weave in ends
o Scissors

Notes:
o With a gauge of about 2-2.5sts/inch, a skein of ~85 yards will get you a snuggly cowl of about 12” deep and 16” in circumference.
o A skein of ~135 yards will get you something deep enough to pull over your head.
o If you want a larger circumference, adding stitches in multiples of 6 (to keep the pattern correct) will increase the circumference by 3”. It will also make the resulting cowl less deep unless you add more yardage.

Skills Required:
Cast on, Knit, Purl, Bind off.
