Cold Winter’s Night Socks were a part of the 2024 Knitspot Red Scarf Fundraiser, and are now available through my Ravelry shop.

These socks use a sport-weight wool yarn in 2 colors. They are a quick knit if you are accustomed to fingering weight sock yarns!

There are some special features in this pattern that will be appreciated by veteran and novice sock knitters alike: the heel is a Dutch heel, in which the slip stitch pattern is continued underneath the heel. The length of both the top and the foot can be adjusted to suit your preference. The toe is spiral-shaped with four decrease points and finishes off with the final few sts drawn together as is done for the finishing of a cap (no grafting!).
