This listing is for the original Olann knitting pattern for the Colette Sweater, designed in collaboration with @mergegoods. This knitting pattern was created and written by Olann.

Please note that this knitting pattern can be bought here as an individual knitting pattern, or as part of the Sunday Morning Kind of Beauty knitting pattern collection. The collection includes the Marta Hoodie, Frankie Toque and Colette Sweater knitting patterns and can be purchased directly from my website.

The Colette Sweater was a firm customer favourite when I knit this design for customers during the years that Merge and I offered this product for sale. It features a boxy silhouette, saddle shoulder, slight puff sleeve, long cuff, and folded neckline. It is knit in a Modified Rib Stitch, which creates a beautiful, vertical stitch design. The length is just a touch cropped, but it is easy to make changes to both the body and sleeve length, so it fits you just the way you like.

The Colette Sweater is an intermediate level knitting project. Knit from the top down, the seamless construction is easy to try on as you go. You begin by knitting back and forth to shape the crew neck. The sweater is then joined at the front neck, and you work in-the-round to complete the body. Once the body is complete, the sleeves are worked in rounds from the upper arm to the wrist, and the collar is picked up and knit from the neck.

Size Guide

Generously roomy, with up to 10 inches of positive ease, this sweater is designed for a boxy, cropped fit. To begin, measure your bust and choose the size that gives you some extra inches for a roomy fit. Alternatively, if you’d prefer a neater look, you may wish to size down.
