The Colibrì (=Hummingbird in Italian) has many symbols, the movement of its wings symbolizes infinity, eternity, it is an invitation to let go of the past to make room for a new cycle of life.

It is a top-down, circular yoke sweater.
Gradual increases are made in the yoke up to the sleeves that will be put on hold onto holder or scrap yarn and then resumed later.
This way there will be no seams.
This pattern, in 3 colors, features lace stitches and stranded knitting. The decorative motifs embellish the entire yoke and are also repeated on the body. The body length can be easily customized.
We used a Icelandic lambs wool and silk yarn, the silk filament is clearly visible and gives the garment a truly original and pleasant melange texture.
Colibrì comes in 11 sizes (from 78 to 181 cm 30.7 to 71.2 “ bust circumference). The size guide and the table in PDF will help you choose the fit you prefer.

Circular needles 3 mm / US 2.5
(cables 40, 60 and 100 cm 16, 24 and 40“ )
Cast on the neck with the shorter cable and then switch to the longer cable as you increase stitches. Use 60 cm 24” for sleeves.

E’ un modello lavorato in tondo dall’alto verso il basso, si eseguono degli aumenti graduali nello sprone fino ad arrivare alle maniche che verranno messe in sospeso su un filo per poi essere riprese successivamente. In questo modo non ci saranno cuciture.
Questo modello, in tre colori, abbina punti traforati alla tecnica jacquard, . I motivi decorativi impreziosiscono interamente lo sprone e sono ripresi anche nel corpo.
La lunghezza del corpo può essere variata facilmente.
Abbiamo usato un filato composto da lana islandese di agnello e seta, il filamento di seta è chiaramente visibile e regala alla maglia una texture melange davvero originale e gradevole
Nel pattern sono disponibili 11 taglie (da 78 a 181 cm di circonferenza busto), la guida alle taglie e la tabella nel PDF ti aiuteranno a scegliere la vestibilitá che preferisci.

Inizia dal collo con il cavo più corto (40cm) e poi aumentalo gradualmente mano a mano che aumenti le maglie. Usa il cavo da 60 per le maniche e il cavo da 100 per il corpo.
