Colleen Hat
My husband and I spent last Thanksgiving visiting friends in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. They were superb hosts, having invited a large contingent of guests (including us) that couldn’t be with family for the holiday. The day was wonderful and fostered a newfound appreciation for the friends we have and the effort people around the world put into holiday traditions. As we retired to the living room after dinner, I picked up my knitting and was quickly joined by a guest who wished to observe the progress on my current project – a hat in the round. She was fascinated by the process and later that evening requested a custom knit hat. She desired something super slouchy with a huge pom-pom, asking with the oft-repeated phrase “Could you do that?” Of course I could! So I set to work designing a hat for her and now I offer the finished pattern to you.
