I spent my university days at Exeter College, Oxford, where I studied English many years ago. After reading lots of articles about how young people are increasingly suffering from stress and anxiety – and because I remember how stressful those days were even before there were so many added pressures on students – I decided to create a super-simple college scarf pattern in the hope of encouraging present-day students to relax by learning to knit. This easy pattern can be adapted to any vertical stripe pattern for colleges, schools, clubs or simply your favourite colours.
