This college-themed cap combines several techniques, including stranded knitting, and is written for three sizes: child, adult small, and adult large; for two-letter and three-letter versions; and for two weights of yarn, sport and light worsted. The corkscrew cap toppers use a basic crochet technique, with other options also included for finishing the tops. Basic skills such as casting on; knitting; purling; knitting front, back, front; purling front and back; knitting two together; and blocking are assumed. An alphabet chart is included for the letter band. The color-coded hat charts are clear and easy to follow, even for knitters not experienced with chart reading.

This hat stretches 1-3”.
