The Collette Felted Beret starts as an oversized beret that is then felted down to size by hand (not in a washing machine). There are 2 patterns included in the purchase, the original solid colour with seed stitch version and a striped stockinette version. Both versions have a Latvian braid and full instructions to make the flowers and to hand felt the beret. Kits are available on my website, hatjunkie.com.

The yarn base is Custom Woolen Mills, Soft Spun. I sell hand dyed yarn kits, with wool felt and embroidery floss available on my website, hatjunkie.com. I also have a full course to create this beret if you would like a little more help.

To make the beret you will need, 1 US size 10/6mm 16” (40cm) circular needle, 1 set of US size 10/6mm dpns, embroidery scissors, embroidery floss, stitch markets, tapestry needle for weaving in ends, liquid hand soap, fabric marker, rubber gloves, tape measure or ruler.
