Collie
Also available on LoveCrafts and Etsy!
I love gradient yarn. It is so easy to buy but it can be tricky to use. The shift from one color to another can obscure stitch patterns or the colhjkor shifts can occur in an inopportune spot, leaving you with very little of one end of the gradient in your finished object.
Collie is a single skein shawl designed to help you use every last inch of gradient yarn, or close to it, and allow both colors in your gradient to shine. Gauge and yardage are listed for both fingering and dk weight yarn but the written instructions are presented as a formula. The number of stitches increased is given after every row. Your row and stitch counts when moving to Section 2 will depend on where the transitions in your yarn fall.
Materials Needed:
1 center pull cake of gradient yarn (or a mini skein set) and 1 32” or larger circular needles in the size needed to obtain gauge.
400 yards Fingering Weight
- or -
240 yards DK Weight
