Collins
Collins is an attention-getting twist on the classic aran cabled cardigan. An asymmetric shawl collar and an elegant tie add an elegant spin to the cabled cardigan. It’s still classic enough to be wearable with jeans and boots or a great fall skirt, but it’s just a little different.
Collins features a more fitted shape, a short length, and the long, off-center tie to make it modern. A deep collar, a balance of texture and classic cables, and the body hugging shape make for a feminine vibe.
You can modify length as needed to hit your waist, width can easily be adjusted on the sides of the body, and the wrap lets you bring things in as you need to just by adjusting your ties.
It’s best knit in a wooly yarn with a little tooth to it. Stay away from a heavy or overly drapey fiber, which may not stay closed when belted.
Sizing
32(34,36,38,40,42)(44,46,48,50,54,58)”/ 81.25
(86.25,91.5,96.5,101.5,106.75)(111.75,117,122,127,
137.25,147.25)cm around bust, worn closed.
Pick the size that corresponds with your bust.
Sweater is not intended to be worn with ease.
If you’re unsure about your size, I recommend going smaller, as extra width will make the wrap flap open, but negative ease will only make the V stay a little more open. Also, I find these tweeds can block out bigger if needed.
