Collum's Beanie
Collum’s Beanie is the fingering weight version of the Both Ways Beanie, a great beginner knit that introduces center double decreases and produces a timeless, versatile, and cozy beanie with some slouch. Collum’s Beanie starts with a long-tail cast on for a clean ribbing edge, followed by k1, p1 ribbing that makes this a great travel and television knit. The hat is completed with centered decreases resulting in a polished, ribbed beanie.
This pattern was published in collaboration with Dallas A. Duncan for the release of “Triumverate Rising”, the second book in the Meridian Trilogy. You can find this book and “Bright Star”, the first book of the trilogy, at your local bookstore or at Bookshop.org.
Safety statement: When knitting, always prioritize safety by using sharp needles with caution, keeping your workspace clear of distractions, and taking breaks to avoid repetitive strain injuries. If you experience any discomfort, stop knitting and consult a healthcare professional. Always double-check your stitches before using your knitted item, especially if intended for children, and ensure all loose ends are securely fastened to prevent choking hazards.
