Colonel Talbot Scarf
Although the Colonel Talbot Scarf was designed for the “beginner knitter,” it is also great for more experienced knitters. These scarves became my go-to-projects one summer - they are great ‘downtime projects’. I heartily recommend this pattern for everyone. You may need it at some point in your life!
The dramatic garter stitch scarf is simply made, with I-cord edges and short lines of stocking stitch. Instructions include a photo tutorial for the cast on (a provisional cast on which is not removed later) that is a perfect match for the cast off edge. Placement of markers is explained with a photo and stitch count guide. There are even photos to help you count your rows accurately.
I hope you enjoy knitting this ‘unisex’ scarf. I did. I made four in one summer!
