This flag is a slightly different (smaller and 13 star) version of my original free flag pattern, Lee Johnson’s Wavy American Flag (available on Ravelry and Craftsy), that I made for my now 94 year old Dad who is a WWII Veteran. This is an easy pattern to complete, and I hope that many veterans are being gifted with an afghan flag of their own. I have enjoyed seeing so many people make and share photos of my previous pattern and hope this one is just as loved. This Colonial/Betsy Ross Wavy American Flag is faster and easier to complete, although smaller. The stars are a bit time consuming to make and sew on properly and 13 is much faster than 50!
