PERFECT FOR PEEK-A-BOOS!

These light-weight mittens are worked in the round from the cuff to the base of the palm. Then, when the contrasting color is joined, they are worked “flat” (as intarsia in the round), with a special wrap-and-turn technique that completely conceals the wrap. No seaming required!

Size: Three sizes are available: Small (Medium, Large), fitting hands measuring 7 (8, 9) inches in circumference at palm. These mittens are worn with a .5 inch ease.

Tools: One set of US 1 (2.25 mm) and one set of US 2 (3 mm) double-pointed needles (or size required to obtain gauge).

Materials: Approximately 150 yards (140 m) of fingering-weight yarn in main color and 90 (80 m) yards of fingering-weight yarn in contrasting color, two markers and waste yarn.

Difficulty: Adventurous beginner - make one right-slanting stitch, make one left-slanting stitch, wrap and turn on a knit side, pick-up wrap on a knit side, wrap and turn on a purl side, pick-up wrap on a purl side, twist strands.
