Color-Block Ribbed Scarf
This is a quick and easy project and excellent learning skills for a beginner.
Using an 11.5 mm hook and bulky yarn will make your project go fast.
You can probably get very similar results if you use a 10mm hook & chunky/bulky yarn.
The size can always be customized by adding more chains to the foundation chain to make the scarf wider if so desired.
Skill level: Easy
Stitches used: SC through back loop
Chain
For the example in the photos, I used an 11.5mm hook and about 1.75 skeins of Bernat Softee Chunky Yarn (Cinnamon & Soft Taupe) and alternated between one color and the next.
The finished dimensions were 5” X 78”.
I ended up with 5 color blocks (3 blocks in cinnamon & 2 blocks in soft taupe) and ea. block measuring apprx. 15 in.
The scarf will also look great in one solid color.
