This is a very simple knit that is wonderful for beginners.

I designed it because it is exactly what I like to wear myself in our cold Vermont winters. Because the recommended knitting needle size is much smaller than the size recommended for the yarn, a nice thick, compact fabric is the result.

Both of my younger children wear these as well and it keeps their hands warm in their winter play.
