Color Code Shawl
The Color Code Shawl was inspired by the Fibonacci Sequence 0,1,1,2,3,5,8,13,etc., the most perfect pattern of numbers in my humble opinion. This shawl is an asymmetrical triangle shawl knit from side to side in relaxing garter stitch sections which are broken up by increasing lace and contrasting color stripes that add pops of color and fun. The increase rate of each lace and contrasting stripes section grows mirroring the increase of the Fibonacci Sequence. This shawl is so much fun to knit as the anticipation builds with each growing lace and contrasting stripes section that add more and more color and dimension. The finished size of the shawl is easy to customize as you do not have to knit the final lace and contrasting stripes section included in the pattern; or you may knit an extra using the Fibonacci Sequence as your guide. Two of my testers knit the shawl with an additional lace and contrasting stripes section, and my original sample knit in Knit Picks Chroma Twist (the teal with pink stripes) does not include the final lace and contrasting stripes section. My second sample (the grey with purple stripes) is knitted following the written instructions.
The color combination options are endless. Knit this shawl with a light solid color for the main color and use a bold color for the contrasting stripes to make them pop. Or do the reverse. Or use a speckled or variegated color for the main color and a solid for the contrasting stripes or vice versa. The most important thing is to have fun as you design your own Color Code Shawl.

Knitting Techniques you should be familiar with:
Kfb, YO, and SSK. You should also know how to change to a second yarn color at the end of a row when working color stripes and how to carry unused yarn up the side of your work when knitting with one color for more than 2 rows.
Difficulty Level: Easy/Intermediate (I do think an adventurous beginner would be able to complete this project)
