Color Drop is an exciting and unconventional sweater, knitted sideways from sleeve to sleeve.

The sweater features ¾-length sleeves, a round neckline and it is knitted in Handdyed Fat Mohair. The sweater has a colorful striped pattern worked in intarsia/tapestry knitting.

The pattern does not specify exactly which colors to use where, nor where each color change should occur. Instead, it invites you to be creative—so let your imagination run wild or let chance decide.

The sweater begins at the right sleeve cuff and is knitted back and forth. After the ribbing, increases are worked to shape the sleeve.

Once the sleeve is completed, stitches are cast on for the front and back, and the body is knitted in one piece. After the first shoulder is worked, stitches are bound off for the neckline, and the front and back are then worked separately. After shaping the neckline, the work is joined again on one needle to finish the body.

Stitches are then bound off on both the front and back. The second sleeve is worked with decreases and finished with a ribbed cuff.

Finally, a ribbed neckline is knitted.
