In creating this pattern, I thought it might be fun to play with the colors of a long-colourway yarn such as the Noro Silk Garden which I used here. By choosing which colors you want to accent in different areas, you are creating a very unique shawl for yourself.

This design also works well in solid colors, if you prefer.

This shawl is worked from the top down with the tulip pattern going down the center of the back. Increases are made at each side on every row, as well as on RS rows on each side of the central back tulip pattern. The tulip pattern is then repeated along the bottom of the garment to give a lacy edge.

Yarn: Noro Silk Garden Sock, 2 skeins of the same colour way.
Needles: 4.5mm 80cm circular
Gauge: 17sts and 27 rows = 4” in st st blocked
Accessories: removeable st markers
Finished Size:(blocked) 62“ wide by 20” at center back
