Color Moves intarsia twin set
I originally bought this yarn for handknitting, then after starting different patterns, I tried it on my knitting machine, with the intarsia carriage and that was it!
I went on and designed a twin set with a cardigan with larger fronts, without button holes, and a simple tank top shell.
I used:
4 balls of deep teal #13
2 balls of azur #37
2 balls of seafoam #7
2 balls of lavender #29
2 balls of silver grey #38
I swatched it at different tensions, and finally knitted it the twin set putting every other needle in working position at tension 9 with the intarsia carriage.
I casted on using the latched cast on trim by Diana Sullivan - link to video here: link text
I made the pattern using excel spredsheet, customizable for sizing here:
The trim around the edges, on the cardigan and on the shell, was crocheted.
row 1 -Crochet a slip stitch around the edges, (every stitch on the horizontal and diagonal parts, and skipping 1 st every 3 st on the vertical parts)
row 2 - chain 1, slip stitch1 from back loop
row 3 - chain 1, sl stitch 1 from back loop
