To make this striking hat, you will need about 109 yards of light colored, worsted weight yarn, and 109 yards of dark colored, worsted weight yarn. I would say this pattern is intermediate, due to the colorwork. This hat isn’t difficult to make, though. The only stitches used are knits and purls, but you will need to know how to do color stranding (AKA Fair Isle). You will also need to know basic increasing and decreasing, how to knit in the round, and how to read a simple color chart.
