Colorflux is a triangular shawl with a garter stitch border and a slip stitch pattern in a gradient of 5 colors. The slipped stitch colorwork pattern only works one color at a time, so you don’t have to worry about holding two strands of yarn at a time. Its beautiful, soft and drapey in Road to China Light, or choose Quince and Co Sparrow for a light summer weight shawl that gets softer as you wash it!

This pattern was designed to use almost a whole skein of each color, so it’s important to knit a small swatch in color 1, so you can get gauge, and still have enough of each color. Gauge is not critical, but you may run out of yarn if don’t check first.

The pink version of the shawl is knit in Quince and Co. Sparrow, in colors (starting at the cast on) sans, conch, pink grapefruit, paprika and hibiscus. The Road to China light version is knit in colors citrine, peridot, emerald, abalone, and apatite.

Errata: If you have a copy of this pattern from before 9/12/18 please note the following mistakes:

-There are two row “2A’s” in the slip stitch pattern. The secod should be labeled 2B.

  • Row 5B should end: drop yarn B, sl3, turn work.
