Coloring Easter Eggs Photo Basket Filler
My sister-in-law, Briana of Briana Lugo Photography, has been mentioning to me for the last year or so how easy chunky mini blankets are to crochet, how little yarn and time they take and how popular they are. Have I listened? Well, I did but I didn’t look into it or try my hand at one until a few months ago.
Back at the end of June, I posted the Chunky V-Stitch Baby Blanket and Hat Set in Spring and the Chunky Granny Square Baby Blanket and Hat Set in Kitty. Once finished, I was very excited to show Briana. Again, she brought up the mini blanket idea and pulled one out that she had made. I glanced at it for a few minutes and though, what the heck? Why not?
I was in need of another ball of the Spring yarn anyway to make a matching Chunky Style hat.
While at work one evening, I took out my remaining yarn, and came up with a 10” x 10” little mini blanket/basket filler.
Being that this mini blanket is a square, it is a great mini blanket option for using on the top layer of a few coordinating blankets. I don’t have any shots of this mini blanket in action yet, but update to come soon.
It also works great hanging out of a basket with baby leaning head on top, or fully inside a basket to prop baby up.

- Chunky Yarn - I used about half a ball (50 yds) of Deborah Norville’s Chunky Serenity Yarn in Spring

Time Spent:
I was able to complete this mini blanket with edging and weaving in ends in about half an hour.
