Colors of smoke
Just as a natural gradient descent of gray color in smoke, this scarf begins with a strong presence of a dark grey color. After awhile
it continues lightening up to a medium grey that eventually goes to a light color that reminds us of a gentle steam.
As you wrap yourself in this elegant and beautifully textured
scarf, use your creativity to show colors and textures in the best possible way. There are so many variations of how to wear it! Using
closures by Jul Designs, secure the scarf at certain places
and manipulate the ends.
The scarf drapes easily and feels soft and light. The simple stitch pattern is a combination of slipstitch knitting and a cable. It is contained in a few sections that are separated with the garter stitch stripes where one color fades into another.
The pattern is broken into 6 sections for keeping track of changing colors and has very clear and not complicated instructions to follow.
One great thing about this design is that you can easily change the length of the scarf by shortening or elongating some sections.
The yarn used is a collaboration of two yarn companies Anzula and Lorna’s Laces for bringing this trio of hand-dyed colors to you.
Yarn shown in the sample:
Squishy by Anzula, charcoal (color A), hippo (color B) one skein
each
and Set in palladium by Lorna’s Laces, Moon Stone (color C) one skein
Color B and C were used about 80% of each skein.
