Yarn:
DK yarn is needed for this patter, I used James C Brett Second Chance. I have used yellow and red as accent colours but refer to the yellow as lemon throughout to help me tell my left from my right. This pattern is aimed to help the wearer, or knitter, tell their lefts from their rights and so it is dyslexia and dyspraxia friendly. It’s something a lot of my family struggle with and I wish I’d had a pair when I was younger. You could use any colour you like, lavender and rose, lime and red. Alternatively it could be a great stash busting pattern or made in one colour.
You need 1 skien of each but not a lot of the contrast colours so feel free to use scrap yarn!

The mittens cast off by your knuckles to create a fold over flap so they are multipurpose.

Techniques
Norwegian cast on- you can use an alternative but it’s my favourite for cuffs.
I-cords (I do give very detailed instructions on how to knit an I-Cord so don’t be put off)
