HELLO there….The‘Colour Me Happy’ cardigan pattern is created using up your scrap yarns rather than paying for more yarn. I had the brilliant idea to put 2 dk/8ply/light worsted/3 weight yarns together and work them into striped rows, to achieve the pretty, multi colour look.
It’s a “TopDown/Raglan Style’ Cardigan.
This one has the same 51 chain stitches for every size for the neck/beginning row. Keeping it extra “beginner friendly”. With Half Double Crochet stitches for the yoke and a crazy ‘Granny Stitch’ pattern for the sleeves and body.
I’ve purposely designed it to fit as “oversized”, being a very loose comfy fit to wrap around you all snuggly in the cooler/cold weather. You can choose to go down a size or 2 if you prefer. Try on as you go along for sizing if not sure.
Sizes begin from adult (early teen) size XS (extra small) - through to Adults size - 5XL (5 times X Large) written in US terms for‘Beginners’ with easy to understand instructions. If you are a size XS to begin with and would like it sized down. Go down a hook size or ½ etc
I kept the ends, where yarns were joined together, poking out to the right side of the cardigan for an ‘extra quirky’ appeal.(snipped to same sizes)
