Colour Trails is a delightfully easy shawl designed for those beautiful hand-dyed single skeins of 4ply/fingering weight yarns that we all can’t resist. Work it in two or three colours (three pictured). Combining texture, colour and lace, Colour Trails promises to keep you interested throughout.

The pictured shawl is in the large size. It was knit using 3 skeins of Sparkleduck Solo in the colourways Dusk Blue, Bluebells and Ocean.

FINISHED SIZE (approximate)
Small (Large)
145 x 45 (190 x 60)cm / 57 x 18 (75 x 24)in

YARN REQUIREMENTS (approximate)
You will need around 155 (255)m / 175 (300)yds of each of your three colours, or if working in two colours you will need approx 310 (510)m / 350 (600)yds of your main colour and 155 (255)m / 175 (300)yds of your contrast colour.

Total yarn requirements are therefore:
465 (765)m / 510 (840)yds

GAUGE
Getting an exact gauge is not crucial but will affect the finished size and amount of yarn use.
BLOCKED: 17sts and 30 rows = 10cm/4in in garter slipped stitch on 4mm/US6 needles

NEEDLES
4mm/US6 (or size needed to get gauge). You will need a 60cm/24in (or longer) circular needle.
